The city is home to four municipal business parks: Bridgeport Business Park, Grand River West Business Park, Huron Business Park, and Lancaster Corporate Center. The largest area, Huron Business Park, has a variety of industries, from chair manufacturers to furniture components.

Kitchener's economy is divided among the launch of new high-end economic groups. In addition to global economic and insurance collections and production clusters, digital news and health science collections are emerging within the city.

Transportation and Logistics Market in Kitchener, ON

In 2009, Kitchener City began a project to rebuild and repair a highway in the center of Kitchen City, King Street. In the reconstruction of King Street, several things have been added to make the road even better for pedestrians. New streetlights were added, sidewalks were widened, and borders were lowered. Boards have been added to add streetcape flexibility, including major street events and festivals. In 2010, the rebuilt King Street was awarded the International Community Places Award for its new design that aims to attract people to the city center. In 2009, Tree Canada saw King Street as a green road. The redeveloped King Street has many natural features such as new road trees, bike racks, storm beds for collecting and filtering storm water, improved road infrastructure, and an improved waste management system. The road was rebuilt using a road that was rebuilt and rebuilt with stones. In September 2012, the City of Toronto used Kitchener's King Street as an example of Celebrate Yonge - a month-long event that reduced Yonge Road to two lanes, expanding lanes to improve trade and pedestrians.

The opening ceremony of the University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy and the city center for health sciences was held on 15 March 2006, and the center opened in the spring of 2009. The building is located on King Street near Victoria Street, on the site of the old Epton plant, across the street from Kaufman Lofts (former Kaufman shoemaker). McMaster University later launched the satellite station Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine near the University of Waterloo's School of Pharmacy. The Health Sciences Campus has played a major role in the emergence of Kitchener's health science.
